Base looks like shit. The flames dont look like flames, white outline is barely noticeable, hood logo is too small, not enough associates, plus the one you have on looks like ass, QP logo isn't big enough and the decals are on the headlights. Is that better?
I usually don't make "custom" scheme, per say, but I'm proud to say I at least spend more than 10 minutes on my cars and don't just copy and paste.

You don't get better by just using other peoples bases. It took someone being a dick to me about a car I slapped together, using a pre-made bade, before I said fuck it and started painting my own. Start off by painting easy bases to get used to the pen tool, then start doing more complicated bases.
p.s - You don't have to paint a car in one sitting. Do it over a few days time. I find if I paint little bit here, little bit there, I'll think of something down the line to make it look better.
Bottom line is, I'm not gonna praise you for using someone else' base. I don't know why some people here at THL think life is a field of flowers and everyone is gonna be nice to them, maybe they're still sucking on their mommas titty, iunno, but you can't have people complimenting everything you do every step of your life. There's gonna be times when people say shit you don't wanna hear, and your just gonna have to suck it up.

How is by you saying "Nice truck deadpool." helping me out any? You could have at least said what you said in the second post first, Instead of just saying what you did. What I am telling you is tell me suggestions on how to make it better instead of being a dickhead about it. I never said I painted the base, I gave credit where credit was due. It's a league truck, I'm not going to waste a week over something I will race for 2 months and toss aside. I never asked to be praised and patted upside the top of the head. I just asked for suggestions and how to make it better, not for an ignorant comment.
Anyways, I guess I'm a bad person now for taking bases that are up for public downloads. :rolleyes:

Like I said, someone had to be a dick to me before I finally decided to start painting my own bases. I understand some people aren't very good at painting, but it isn't hard and anyone can learn.

Tom I would maybe do your flames like this..
I made those based strickly off I think it was johnny bensons flames from his truck and I duplacated the layer and then erased it around some parts of the number to make it look like it was going in and out
that might look cooler
Just mess around with number fonts and colors and make the hood logo a little bigger and you got a nicer truck, but stop arguing like 10 year olds guys :unsure:

i thought painting cars was all about having fun anyways, as long as no one claims a base for them self that they clearly didn't make then i am ok if ppl use pre-made bases, i prefer 100% custom though in my department :D
