I thought this would be an interesting topic since it's something that is not as rare as it used to be still not ultra common either.

Sadly I wish more girls would game and it was not just a boys thing. But I guess it either A- bores them or B- is too much b/c once every guy in the lobby finds out you're a girl the sexual harassment and sexism comes into play.

The 'omg ur a gurl and you can't beat me at a game" ego for most guys flips on so they take it out on her.

I've seen some pretty mean stuff from the online community towards girls in multiplayer online games. Some people will keep betraying her and team killing her, others will just harass the girl during the whole match. It's pretty amazing how low guys can get and they think it's ok since it's a a game to call her a **** or say go back to the kitchen where you belong b**ch. All the heck she wants to do is play a figg'n game and have fun and the end result is she get almost traumatized by the harsh and unfair words.

I have quite a few girl gamer friends, some are more strong than others and some only play with me and a few others and talk in a party chat so no one knows they are a girl b/c of previous experiences from online.

It's already bad enough when you are having a bad round and your team is screaming at you b/c it's you're fault you've lost. I know how that feels at times, I can't image having that added on + additional attacks just b/c of gender.

It's really a shame b/c to be honest, girls playing games is just plain awesome and attractive. It doesn't even matter if they are awesome at it either. They always bring a lighter side to things and make gaming more fun. I feel sorry for all the guys out there you treat online girl gamers so poorly. I'm lucky to have a few that i get to play with every night, they really are cool and omg yes they are real! lol

But BOT I think we need more girl gamers, I really hate it when Guys have that Ego deal that says "You cant beat me, ever" "You **** & SO ON" I hate it just as much as I hate NASCAR fans Cheering for Recks. Its downright stupid. I wish more girls would take into the gaming industry, its bad, but with a lot of them coming on at once? it'd be overwhelming and the Guys would have no choice but to accept them or stop playing the game all together. TBH, Id rather play online with all Girls than males. Most of the time they actually make it fun. Teamwork is more out there, and theres not much "Yea I killed him, No I killed him" type crap.

yeah it surprised me when I first started playing online multiplayer games about 3 years ago, almost any game I went to that was online based the guys were always attacking the females in the party. It was really weird to see it at first b/c i thought they would be cool towards them since they are girls but the total opposite happened.

there are also the totally obsessed guys. this one player kept sending FR after FR to my friend just b/c he found out she was a girl. You'd think after her saying no the first time he would stop.

It really sucks what they have to put up with. It's like an added raincloud you have to live with when you play a game lol

Yea, I had that happen to a friend of mine to only he FR her twice instead of keep on trying. I dont know what they are trying to do, she probably lived half across the earth anyway lol.

Most girls dont play like you said because of the sexual harassment, & they dont get into it, because of the word of mouth that comes from there friend. Also the "I dont want to hurt your ego" type of thing. It really sucks and I wish there were more girls that would try it.

alll the girls i know that game dont mind getting harrassed lol they all go along with it and have a good time

well first of all gaming is a hobby and everybody has a right to play regardless of race/creed or gender :)

oh and my girlfriend plays with my ps3 from time to time, also got a girl who's on my friends list on the psn and shes a pretty cool person to play with.

I remember one time I gave her my mic to play online in resistance for a few minutes and practically all the guys in the game started to hit on her. She looked at me and i told her to just roll with it so she did
the conversation started to get a little friskey and then I told her to give the mic back to me and I said in my deep voice

any of you guys wanna cyber tonight? and the match was canceled right after that

I like chicks who game. I bought Lego Batman because it was something that my gf was willing to play. She doesn't really like things that are super serious and she thought it looked fun. We play together from time to time when we're not working, going to class, trying to have a social life, or sleeping in between. I really don't see why somebody would want to try to drive girls away from gaming, especially since there are a lot of gamers who are nerdy and probably couldn't get a real girlfriend. I really couldn't think of anything other than feeling intimidated by their presence.

I race with a woman in an NR2K3 league, top 5 driver pretty much every race.

I think shooting chicks on COD4 is pretty cool. Sometimes they are pretty cool to talk to also. But what I hate is when they get on there, you always have ONE guy in the server that's all up their ass and is trying to be cool the entire time thinking he's going to get a blow job over the microphone or something. Silly geeks.

girl gamers are cool..i have three girls on my socom clan and they are some of the best on our clan..they usually dont get harassed except you get they few guys who obviously never seen a girl and think that these girls are gonna come to their house and fuck them.

yeah there are some real Freaks on halo 3 too. my friend Emily keeps getting replies from all these guys just b/c she was in a match with them.
