According to ESPN, Mark McGwire told the AP that he used HGH and steroids for a decade including 1998, when he hit 70 home runs. McGwire calims it was not to get bigger but to stay healthy.



Jose canseco's book is turning out to be true. So far a lot of the players he said in there, they all denied it at first and now they are admitting to using steroids.

I don't think anyone is shocked.

He was my favorite player when I was young, and actually attracted me to the game. Pretty hard to watch him do that interview with costas.

Good for Mark

As much shit as he's taken, Baseball needed that home run chase. It made MLB relevent again.

That homerun chase was great but it will forever be ruined by this. The sad thing is he is saying the Man Upstairs made him do roids. He also said he did them to stay healthy. It didnt matter what you were using them for, the period of time he did them for helped his batting performance. He had no shot at the hall of fame to begin with and now I think he lost it for good. People won't want him in for the face his career was basically tainted.
