Lil early for a race thread...

Awesome. Hope nobody gets hurt this time.

Gonna be great to see the show with the spoiler back and the bump draft rules gone! Woohoo! It's gonna be a crazy race!

My plan all season was to start the next thread on Monday exactly after the race. That was you guys can talk about practice, qualifying, anything leading up to and including the race. I like it that way, so just in case something happens later on in the week I dont have to worry about rushing to put together a thread. Like last week lol

On Riggs' forums it said that he might have a ride for this race, which would be fucking awesome!!!

I hope some of the cars have special paint schemes, i live SS races b/c most cars have a special scheme for the events =)

I'm pretty pumped. Just watched last years race on SPEED.

YES. This is serious. People could die.

Those guys were freakin gettin it yesterday in practice. Average speeds were just under 200 MPH!

Its racing, its going to be dangerous.

I really hope this race doesn't get postponed

Well hopefully the race will not be affected by rain. I guess I should try and get some sleep before its scheduled start so ic an be partially awake to watch it at least lol

Looks sunny. And I always say, If there's sun on the racetrack, Play ball.

I am just not seeing how they are going to get in 812 miles of racing today, seeing as the track doesn't have lights.

They will if 2 things happen:

A) Less than 5 cautions in the cup race without a red flag.
B) Cup goes Caution Free (doubt it, last time it happened was 2002)
C) Nationwide goes Caution Free (I'm actually laughing while I type that.)

Why is Nationwide being pushed to Sundays now. What ever happened to Mondays ?

I think they pushed it to Sunday just so they don't have to add 2 more days to their budget.

anyways, I got a good feeling about today.

A. The fans get two for the price of one.
B. Cheaper on track, NASCAR, and everyone involved.
C. Drivers get an extra day with their families.

Very true, never thought of it. I'm so used to pushing it to Mondays that late Sunday. afternoons are just weird

What I was thinking was that NASCAR was going to Mod the Restricter Plates before the race. That didn't happen sadly.
