A Miami Heat and will have Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade around him

Connor Mackenzie - July 9, 2010 01:44 AM (GMT)
I'm a huge Kobe Bryant fan now when before I hated him

D-Dave - July 9, 2010 01:58 AM (GMT)
I feel so bad for Cleveland.

I found this tweet funny. Welp let's start printing those antwan jamison witness banners.

Naked_Snake - July 9, 2010 02:20 AM (GMT)
holy shit /yeah-smile/

gokyle45 - July 9, 2010 02:30 AM (GMT)
Good for all parties involved.

Cleveland deserves this tbh...

Tyler Ellery - July 9, 2010 02:58 AM (GMT)
is.... the best player in the league.

gordogg24p - July 9, 2010 03:12 AM (GMT)
Yay! Three great players and two shit ones for starters! They won't do anything unless the Heat pull some great, cheap players out of their ass.

Brett - July 9, 2010 03:15 AM (GMT)
KING LABRON

Connor Mackenzie - July 9, 2010 03:56 AM (GMT)
What ever happened to great players wanting to compete against each other? Sadly, this is what the NBA has become, 3 of the games best players all playing on the same team.

Cleveland deserves this tbh...

how the fuck can you say Cleveland deserves this? They have gone through an absolute HORRIBLE 50-60 years in sports, and this is the one bright spot they have...and they DESERVE this? Fuck no, they don't "deserve" this. If anything, a city with a better sports record like Boston, Dallas or Chicago deserves it more.

And Lebron was HOME GROWN too, Akron is not far from Cleveland. He played High School ball there. He wanted to be drafted by his hometown team. He played for his hometown team, and ultimately, he did not SHOW UP for his hometown team down the stretch.

Cleveland did not deserve the shit kicking it got. Lebron held a 1 hour special JUST to glorify himself.

As a Browns and Indians fan, your wrong.

also, ps, go to the Cavs website.

Tyler Ellery - July 9, 2010 06:27 AM (GMT)
why is everyone hating?

He is the best player in the league and has options, him, wade and bosh are friends and happen to be 3 of the best players in the league and want to play together. If the Cavs win a championship without him then so be it. He's not going to regret leaving. It's hard to find sports now days where the player stays with the team he was drafted by, probably the NFL is lone exception because many players stay with there team the hole way.DDave, the only bad game he had in the playoffs was game 5 where the team only scored 88 points. 29.1 avg in the playoffs is insane. There was only 2 games in the playoffs where LB wasn't the scoring leader for his team. And the elimination game is scores 27 grabs 19 rebounds and 10 assists. According to the owner he wasn't trying...
I've lost total respect for Dan Gilbert, what a fucking jerk. LB did so much for that organization and he gets treated like shit. I would still give the Lakers the slight advantage for the title next year.

Considering LeBron was the only player the Cavs had...i'd be pissed 2 if i was Dan Gilbert. Yeah you throw out all these stats and how "impressive'' they maybe, but who did he have surrounding him? Nobody. He made the Cleveland Cavaliers. There fan base was terrible until James came and started dominating. He said he'd love to stay in Cleveland his whole career. What did he just do? Betray a city that loves him to win a ring. Thats selfish. He's suppose to be the greatest player around and could of won a title in Cleveland if he didn't choke in the end. The only way he'll be considered the great one is if he wins a ring and thats what he's going for. Thats bull shit.

Connor Mackenzie - July 9, 2010 02:39 PM (GMT)
He ain't gonna be considered the great one no more..ha. You've gotta be the clear #1 best player on your team to be that.

gokyle45 - July 9, 2010 06:03 PM (GMT)
By Cleveland, I didn't mean the city. I meant Dan Gilbert and the Cavaliers. They never gave Lebron a decent player to work with. I mean Mo Williams isn't jack shit. At least give him a solid player like a Manu Ginobli of sorts. I just should have said the Cavs organization, and not the city of Cleveland, Ohio.

I am a Utah Jazz fan, and I've had this done to me before. When Karl Malone left Salt Lake, I was pissed. He betrayed us, he betrayed me, he ruined his legacy. Now I know its a different situation, but it was still a kick in the groin.

LeBron is a bitch though. Even worse than Karl Malone and Gary Payton. An hour special on Prime time TV to announce something that could have took 2 minutes.

I cant wait to see the Heat choke and lose.

I hate Kobe, but he never went anywhere just to get a ring.

Fair enough. Apology Accepted.

I don't know why Cleveland fans are upset. I mean, anyone could have seen this coming. Sports aren't just sports once there is money involved, they are businesses. Think of the teams as the big businesses, and the players are the suit & ties. If someone comes to you with a promotion, but you have to leave the city and relocate somewhere else to get the promotion of position and money, you do it. Whatever gives someone the best opportunity to be successful is what the person needs to do.

Even Lebron said that if the situation hadn't been him having the opportunity to play with Dwayne Wade AND Chris Bosh on the same team, he would have more than likely stayed put in Cleveland. Cav's fans are spoiled, look at everthing Lebron had done for them, and now they are burning his jerseys? Get real.

Pete - July 9, 2010 07:58 PM (GMT)
I am not a basketball fan but I was interested in where he would go. I can see why LeBron wanted to go to a place where he could win. IMO the Cavs were good but they didnt have the piece to push them over the top. One guy cant do it all his own. Now the pressure is on because he has great players around him.

Miller4Prez64 - July 11, 2010 01:06 AM (GMT)
I laugh when people say he didn't have enough in Cleveland. They have won more games than anyone in each of the last two years and most people had them as favorites to win each year.

I think he's taking the easy way out by going to Miami.

I see what your trying to say, but you have to realize. To get all 3 of those big head players under the same team banner, they all had to take less money. So realisticly, LeBron took a pay cut to relocate and take the easy way out to not performing.

He had Shaq, a whole 2 years or so after he won a championship with the Heat, he wasn't the best, but still above average. LeBron took the pussy way out. He isn't going to be #1, the Heat is Wade's team, always was. LeBron is just a side show now, same with Bosh.

I'm an Orlando fan, I've see players leave our team, like Shaq and T-Mac. It's taken us a while to get a team together that's worth 2 craps. Just like the Heat is Wade's team, the Magic is Dwight's Team. We have Nelson, Carter, and Lewis, but just like LeBron is going to be, they are all side shows.

Now that he has signed, I have to hear about him and this new "Super Team" every damn time I turn on ESPN or watch the Magic play the Heat. I'm tired of hearing about LeBron. He'll never be considered a "great" after this whole mess.

Pretty much. He's a garbage leader that can't step up and will his team to victory like Kobe and Jordan could. He will never be on the truly elite level to me. Regular season doesn't mean anything once the playoffs start. This year the table was set for Cleveland to make a run to the finals and they couldn't get it done.

gokyle45 - July 11, 2010 06:29 PM (GMT)
I just cant see three of these caliber players co-existing on the same team. I think a meltdown will occur within a year or two.

All 3 took very small cuts on the front end of the deal so they can sign some D-League superstars

Also, 3 great players, 1 average player, and 8 scrubs. Thats not a great ratio.

From what I saw on ESPN, Bosh and James got the max Deals and got sign and trades. Those 2 got the same contracts basically and wade got the less of the pay

Jimmy - July 12, 2010 02:27 AM (GMT)
Well, when LeBron had his dumb special, he said in reality we all took a noticable pay decrease... So from that, I'm understanding all 3 took a big pay cut...
